This is a community event and participation is welcome and open to all. We especially encourage professional and amateur artists to showcase their ideas about infertility through artistic expression. Submissions, including artwork, registration form, and the registration fees must be received by October 1, 2012.
Employees of, members of the immediate family of, or those domiciled with an employee or owner of the Ottawa Fertility Centre as well contest volunteers, judges, and members of their immediate families. “Immediate family” is defined as parents, siblings, children or spouse.
REGISTRATION
$40 per
entry; $15 for subsequent entries with no limit on submissions
- The fee includes promotion of the artist on a web site and a ticket for the artist and a guest to attend the finale event in Ottawa on October 25th, 2012.
- Proceeds will
go towards covering event costs (excluding prize money, which is provided
solely by the Ottawa Fertility Centre). Any additional proceeds will go to Conceiving
Miracles, to be designated to cover costs of fertility treatments for those
who cannot afford treatment.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
Participants complete a registration form and submit it along with the artwork (photography, painting/mixed media, poetry/prose) and a cheque made payable to “Conceiving Miracles” between August 23 and October 1, 2012. Artwork may be dropped off at the Ottawa Fertility Centre between August 23 and October 1 at the following times. Requests to drop submissions off outside of these times may be made by e-mailing Mark Evans at mevans@conceive.ca.

While we respect artistic freedom, for the purposes of this competition, the panel reserves the right to reject those submissions that may be perceived by the general public as inappropriate or that are contrary to the spirit of the competition. In such cases, registrants will receive a full refund.
